Project: Flakvierling 38

This 1:35 scale Flakvierling 38 is a side project that I started last night. This taymiya kit is of excellent quality as they always were. The only difficulties in assembling this kit was the rod that needed to be melted together with a flame to allow the mount to elevate. If I use this for 40k, I will use it as a sabre defence platform. Now, to find a guardsmen that will fit into the seat!

  2. Very good IG potential, enough rivets too. Did the kit come with a trailer too?

I recommend finding an old style metal heavy weapon guardsmen for the crew, if you have access to one. Do you have a picture with a guardsmen to show scale?

  7. Barjack/Kevin > The scale is actully very good compared to 40k. if i went with the similar kit in 1:48 scale it would of been too small. The 20mm cannons are not much longer then a heavy stubber that comes on a leman russ sprue. A guardsmen sitting and 2 standing on the plates would fit very well!
