When I was in North Bay this weekend I picked up this Pegasus Hobbies Crater Set for only $24.00 for 5. I'm very happy with the quality and the fact that this set is cheaper then GW's and its painted.

Pegasus Hobbies Small Gothic City Building 1.

I purchased this kit from the WarStore a few months back. Before I bought this kit, I looked all over the Internet, and couldn't really find many opinions of this wonderful kit, so I took a risk ordering it from the Internet. Since it was under $30, it was a nice deal considering the Canadian Dollar was at Parity when I bought it!

Its made from a very hard dark grey plastic, which is very difficult to cut. Thankfully most of the building parts are not on sprue and ready to be glued right away. Detail is superb, with attention focused on the right parts. Standard Tamiya model cement worked perfectly on this model, and the bond is very strong.

There were a few small issues with this kit that I will list.

• No flooring or roof parts where included at all. I used plasticard to make some flooring, so it worked out since I made my own custom design
• The doors are backwards - If you assemble the kit to match the texture of other Pegasus buildings, you have to assembled the doors where they open inwards, which is kinda strange
• Accessories - They gave a pack of gargoyles, lions, torches, and lanterns to put inside the "mounting pegs" but didn't include enough to kit the whole building out how they show it on the box

Even tho I pointed out the above issues, this building is still two or three times bigger then a Games Workshop building, and half the price in Canada. I highly reccomend it!

A few people have asked how Pegasus Hobbies Buildings stack compared to Warhammer 40k figures. As always, Pegasus Hobbies provides the highest quality buildings, that are very sturdy for there cost. A real value! To answer that question, I have taken a few pictures of the buildings and I will post them below.

Review: Pegasus Technobridge

Recently I purchased a Pegasus HobbiesTechnobridge from The War Store. I picked it up because I've tried to make my own bridge, and it didn't turn out how I wanted. Everything in the box was already detached from its sprue, so clean up was really fast. The only thing that needed to be done, was remove some flash on the guardrails. Assembly took about ten minutes including taking pictures and glue. The size of the birdge is 8in wide and 12in long, and will fit two Rhino's side-by-side, or 1 large tank like a land Raider. For its cost of around $14, this is a great buy and would recommend it for anyone with there own gaming table. I plan on attaching the bridge to a hardboard base, and creating a set of river tiles, where the water is a green slimy industrial waste!

Review: Pegasus Gothic City Ruins

There isn't much negative I can say about these ruins kit! There made from a really solid plastic that accepts glue very well.

Their priced around $20 which ironically half the Canadian price of a Games Workshop buildings. Just one corner is almost the same size of a single Cities of Death ruin. Not only that, but you get two corners per box!

They fit very well in the Gothic setting, and seem very stable and sturdy. Assembly time, which included cleanup, gluing and flash trimming took less then an hour for four corner ruins! Amazing!

I highly recommend getting this set if your a gamer on a budget, and don't mind the limited modelling options for this set, since the set only assembles three ways.

Sanctum Imperialis A

Today's on display I have a Santum Imperialis. This is the only Sanctum I have, and I doupt I will purchase more. It is a nice kit, but the parts are less modular then they are with the Basilica. So with one being the limit, how should I make this command style ruin stand out? Ideas welcomed!

Basilica Administratum C

Today's showcase will feature the Basilica Administratum C. I purchased this Basilica from a local gamer, An00bis. It was assembled really well, but its missing the buttress pieces that connect to the sides. This really takes away from the look of the building. Anyone have any spares? When the color scheme is decided for these three buildings, I will post a WIP shot of them!

Eldar Obelisk

Hey ya! Fox here with a little review of the Foundations of War: Small Elven Road Marker. I have to say I really like the look of this obelisk, the detail is nice though I wish the marking were just a little deeper. This was a lot of fun to paint though very few the bubbles posed a little challenge.

During painting I really liked working with how smooth the sides were yet they had a little texture. As you can see the bubbles in the details were a little tricky to fill but didn't really cause much of a head ach.

Tossing it on a base went well, this is my first time working with plaster so I took a little white glue and painted the bottom let it dry then used super glue to glue it to the base. I hope this will make a it a little easier in the future should I want to change the base. If you have a good idea about how to glue plaster to bases please post it in the comments. Overall I'm really happy with this product and would make a great addition to anyones terrain be it fantasy or sci fi table top gaming.

Cities of Death Table

Here are a few pictures of my new cities of death table, with the new scenery items! Me and a few close friends played a test game yesterday. It was Marines and Eldar VS Guard and Chaos. The final score was 6-5 objectives, victory for the Marines and Eldar!

Pegasus Hobbies Platformer

Here is a nice terrain set from Pegasus Hobbies. Its the Platformer Small Set. The price was right at $15. The parts came on 5 sprues, 4 of them having floor plates. The plastic used feels a little bit cheap as I broke a few small part due to my lack of patience. Cleaning of the parts and assembly took around four hours and took standard hobby cement well. Below is what the unpainted version looks like.
